Revenue Scotland to upgrade Scottish Electronic Tax System

Revenue Scotland is undertaking a programme of work to upgrade their online tax portal.

The changes will affect how Land and Buildings Transaction Tax (LBTT) and Scottish Landfill Tax (SLfT) returns are filed online. The current system will go offline on Thursday 18 July at 4pm. The new system is expected to go live at midday on Wednesday, 24 July 2019. Anyone needing to submit a return during the period where the system is unavailable should submit a paper return. Updates to the paper return will also be made in line with the changes to the system. New forms will be made available on 18 July.
